Leadership Team

Greg Crescenzi

CEO


Greg is the Chief Executive Officer at Nirrin. Prior to Nirrin, Greg led the MIT spinout Kytopen as its Chief Commercial Officer responsible for driving commercial strategy to accelerate its non-viral gene delivery platform. Greg also worked at Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences) where he served as the Enterprise Delivery Leader for the Cell & Gene Therapy business helping to build out the Enterprise Solutions business. Here he also served as Business Leader for Cell Culture Services, Xcellerex and Microcarriers, launching flagship products and quadrupling revenue. Prior to joining GE Healthcare, he held business leadership, sales and marketing positions at BD Biosciences, Pall Life Sciences, and Millipore Corporation. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from Boston University.

Bryan Hassell, PhD

Founder and CTO​


Bryan is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Nirrin. Prior to Nirrin, Bryan worked for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) as a Principal Investigator. In this role he was responsible for evaluating the innovation potential of small businesses to help address national security challenges and ensure technological superiority for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Special Ops Command. Bryan also served as an Investment Associate with Anzu Partners, a venture capital/PE firm concentrating on industrial breakthrough technologies, leading diligence on investments into their industrial and life science portfolio companies. Bryan received his M.S and PhD. in Applied Physics from Harvard University.

Steve Battista

Steven Battista is the Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations with Anzu Partners and acting Chief Operating Officer at Nirrin. Steven is an accomplished business and technology leader that has led the development and commercialization of multiple high-volume technology platforms across the Anzu portfolio. Previously, Steven led strategic initiatives for E Ink Corporation where he focused on bringing E Ink technology to new markets. Prior to E Ink, Steven held positions with GE Plastics, National Starch and Chemical, and QD Vision with responsibility over process and materials development, program management, and new product introductions. Steven earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
